Environment

  • PA-400 Series Firewall
  • Swap memory

Cause

PA-400 is designed with small swap memory (1MB) and large physical memory (RAM: 16GB). Due to small swap space, it is normal to see 100% usage of it.

Resolution

100% swap usage on this platform is normal and  can be safely ignored as the system relies on the physical memory.
