How to Setup an Email Alert for High Availability State Change Event

Objective


To configure an Email Alert for High Availability State Change Event.

Environment


  • Palo Alto Firewalls or Panorama
  • Supported PAN-OS
  • High-Availability (HA)
  • Alerts


Procedure


  1. Create an Email server profile if it has not been configured.
  2. Navigate to GUI: Device > Log Settings,
  3. Click on Add under System, and the log setting window will open for System logs HAStatechange.PNG
  4. Enter the Name and use the Filter as "( subtype eq ha ) and ( eventid eq state-change )", under the Forwarding Method, select the Email Server Profile created in Step 1
  5. Commit the changes. Now email alerts will be received if there is a state change event on High availability enabled device.
