"Error: Image File Authentication Error" when downloading software on Panorama Log Collector

Symptom
When downloading PAN-OS image on Panorama Log Collector in logger mode, the error message "Error: Image File Authentication Error" is displayed.
Example:

Environment
- Any Panorama configured in Logger mode.
- PAN-OS 8.1 and above.
Cause
Log Collector fails to authenticate with the update server before attempting to download the software.
Resolution
Run the command "request system software check" to authenticate and fetch the latest version information from the Update Server. Then rerun the "request system software download" and "show jobs" command as shown in the example below.
