Objective
Steps on how to undo license transfer
Environment
Reverting a license transfer may be requested if the licenses were transferred to the wrong Spare device, or the licenses were transferred temporarily to an OSS device to upgrade the firewall.
Procedure
Create an admin type of support case to revert the license transfer.
- Provide the source device serial number
- Provide the device serial number to which the licenses were transferred by error, and the correct target device serial number
- In case of license transfer for OSS upgrade, provide the OSS device serial number
After the Support team reverts the license transfer, retrieve the license on the firewall(s).
