Cause
Sometimes a URL is miscategorized and needs to be reanalysis the category.
Resolution
You can submit the URL categorization in many ways as explained below.

Submit Recategorization Request Online
Submit a Bulk Recategorization Request Online
To Submit Online:
- Go to https://urlfiltering.paloaltonetworks.com/ and search for the domain/URL you would like to request recategorization.
- Review results and click on the “Request a Change” link
- Fill in the Change a Site Request with a suggestion of a new category or categories, your contact email, and a short explanation of why you believe this categorization is appropriate. After the manual review is completed, a report will be sent to the email address you used here.
To submit a bulk request online:
- Large number of recategorizations need to be submitted via Palo Alto Networks URL Filtering - Bulk Change Request
Note: Please follow the instructions, as a strict file format must be followed for the best results.
To submit from Panorama or Palo Alto Firewall
- From Panorama/Firewall GUI: Monitor > URL Filtering
- Locate the URL/domain which you want re-categorized; click the detailed log view icon
- Scroll down to the Details box, and at the bottom, click “Request Categorization Change.”
- If we cannot see the 'Request Categorization Change' in the URL filtering log, please check the license and re-fetch the license if need be.
- Fill in the box with the requested details, Click Send.
Note: After the manual review is completed, a report will be sent to the email address you used.
