Is SMTPS(SMTP over TLS/SMTP secure) supported for Email Notification?

Environment


  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • PAN-OS: 10.1, 10.2, 11.0
  • SMTP

Answer


  1. SMTP over TLS is supported when the server supports STARTTLS (587 for STARTTLS).
  2. If the servers are using port 465 for SMTP over TLS, then it is not supported.
