Objective


The article explains the options when PAYG VM (purchased from Marketplace - AWS, Azure, Google) has to be mapped to another CSP account.

Environment


  • Customer Support Portal
  • PAYG VM (Pay as you go VM)

Procedure


  1. PAYG VMs cannot be transferred across Customer Support Portal accounts because they are linked to a cloud tenant.
  2. The option is to  terminate the PAYG VM and deploy a new one in the correct Customer Support Portal account. 
  3. It is not possible either to transfer certain licenses from a license bundle between PAYG VMs. 
  4. To migrate your PAYG VM license to BYOL (Bring your own licence), follow Switch Between the BYOL and the PAYG Licenses procedure.
