Overview

This document explains how to force captive portal re-authentication on the CLI.

Steps

  1. Run the following command to verify which user account to clear.
    > show user ip-user-mapping all type CP
  2. Force the user to re-authenticate by running this command.
    > debug user-id reset captive-portal ip-address 10.200.10.118
Note: The example above resets the mapping for 10.200.10.118.
  3. Run this command:
    > show user ip-user-mapping all type CP
    >

Note: The output indicates that the user is no longer authenticated to Captive Portal.
  4. Force the user to re-authenticate to captive portal upon the next URL access attempt.
