Symptom


Commit fails without any error displayed after enabling BGP.

Environment


BGP router ID set to 0.0.0.0

Cause


1) This happens when the router ID is configured as 0.0.0.0 in BGP.

2) "Route daemon configuration load phase-2 failed" can be observed from the traffic logs.

Resolution


Router ID 0.0.0.0 is not a valid configuration in BGP. Commit will be successful after changing it to a non-zero value.
