Failed to Re-install User-ID Agent

Symptom


  • Uninstalled User-ID Agent.
  • Re-installed User-ID Agent.
  • Re-install finished with an error.
  • Check the UaDebug.log file for the following messages: 
    UA: service is already stopped.
Start service fails with error 1069!!!!
UA: Start service fails with error 3!

Environment


  • PAN-OS 
  • User-ID

Resolution


Resolution

  • Remove the agent service, from the command prompt enter:

    c:> sc delete "UserIDService"

  • Reboot the Windows server and re-install User-ID Agent.
