Symptom


  • User-ID agent installed on Windows 2019 Server does not connect
  • User-ID agent logs display the error message "User-ID Agent Connecting (The stub received bad data.)"

Environment


  • Windows User-ID agent below 9.0.2.
  • Windows Server 2019.

Cause


Windows User-ID agent below 9.0.2 is not supported on Windows 2019 Server

Resolution



If using Windows 2019 Server, upgrade the User-ID agent to 9.0.2 and later releases. Refer to the Compatibility Matrix for detailed information.
