Palo Alto Networks has proactively removed GlobalProtect App 6.2.8-h12 [6.2.8-c1032] & GlobalProtect App 6.3.3-h13 [6.3.3-c1105] for Windows and macOS from the Customer Service Portal, Next-Generation Firewall, and Prisma Access.

Why this change is happening
During routine monitoring, we identified stability concerns with the GlobalProtect App 6.2.8-h12 [6.2.8-c1032] & GlobalProtect App 6.3.3-h13 [6.3.3-c1105] builds on Windows only. To ensure the highest level of performance and reliability for your environment, we have paused its availability.

Impacted Platforms: Microsoft Windows only

Conditions:

• GlobalProtect App 6.2.8-h12 [6.2.8-c1032] & GlobalProtect App 6.3.3-h13 [6.3.3-c1105] upgraded
• HIP Data Collection is enabled
• Endpoint missing Windows patches before the GlobalProtect App upgrade

Impact: Under the above conditions, the Host Information Profile (HIP) report becomes corrupted on the very first connection to the GlobalProtect Gateway. This prevents the report from being transmitted to the GlobalProtect gateway and subsequently impacts the user traffic evaluated against security policies dependent on HIP Profiles.

Recommended Next Steps

As a workaround, users can Refresh Connection on the installed GlobalProtect App 6.2.8-h12 [6.2.8-c1032] or GlobalProtect App 6.3.3-h13 [6.3.3-c1105] versions' user interface (GP UI)

However, our recommendation is to downgrade to the previous stable GlobalProtect version in your environment
