Choosing a Transfer Destination: Account vs. User Email

When initiating a transfer, you have two distinct options for specifying the destination. Each method is suited for different use cases, offering either directness or flexibility.

Destination Type

Description & Use Case

Support Account

This method involves transferring the entitlement directly to a known destination CSP account ID. It is the most straightforward option and is ideal for direct, account-to-account transfers where the target account is already known and confirmed.

User (email address)

This method sends the transfer to an individual user's email address. It offers greater flexibility, as it empowers the recipient to decide which of their accessible CSP accounts should ultimately receive the entitlement. This is useful when the sender does not know the specific destination account ID or when the recipient needs to control the final placement.

Regardless of the destination type, the CSP's notification system is key to tracking the progress and status of all transfers.

Tracking Transfers and Understanding Notifications

The Customer Support Portal provides real-time visibility into the entitlement transfer lifecycle through an integrated notification system. Critical alerts and status updates are delivered to all relevant parties via both in-app notifications (accessible through the bell icon) and email, ensuring everyone stays informed.
