-
Entitlements are automatically deposited into your primary CSP account.
-
Centralized, real-time status visibility from the moment of order fulfillment.
-
Allocation information across Tenant Service Groups (TSGs) is now visible post-activation.
This section will walk you through the new status indicators, showing you how to interpret them to ensure a smooth and efficient activation experience.
From Purchase to Activation: Real-Time Statuses
The CSP now uses a simplified set of dynamic statuses to provide a clear, moment-by-moment view of an entitlement's lifecycle, beginning from the instant an order is fulfilled. Understanding these two key statuses is fundamental to leveraging the new self-service capabilities and ensuring a seamless activation journey.
1.PreSetup Underway
What It Means: This status indicates that your order has been successfully fulfilled and the entitlement group has been automatically deposited into your primary CSP account. Crucially, it signifies that backend preparations are still in progress, and the entitlement is not yet ready for activation.
Your Action: No action is required from you at this stage. The system is working to prepare the entitlement, and the status will update automatically once it is ready.
2.Check Activation Status
What It Means: This status is your signal that all backend preparations are complete and the entitlement is now fully ready for you to activate. The status label itself functions as a direct hyperlink to the activation console.
Your Action: Click the Check activation status link. This serves as your direct entry point to the activation console. From there, you can initiate the activation, or if the process has already begun, monitor its real-time progress and review detailed allocation information.
Understanding these statuses is the first step; the next is knowing where to find and manage them within the newly enhanced portal.
A Practical Guide: Locating and Managing Your Entitlements
To provide Holistic Entitlement Oversight, the CSP interface has been redesigned to centralize all SaaS entitlement information, making it simple for you to check statuses and proactively manage your assets. This section provides a clear, step-by-step walkthrough of the new entitlement view designed for IT Admins and Superusers.
To locate your SaaS entitlement statuses, follow these steps:
Log in to the Customer Support Portal.
Navigate to the Assets page from the primary navigation.
Select the new tab dedicated to SaaS products, labeled Prisma access +.
Observe your entitlements, which are now listed by Entitlement Group ID. The real-time status (Pre-setup Underway or Check activation status) is clearly displayed for each group.
This centralized dashboard provides more than just status updates; it equips you with powerful tools for asset management.
Full Lifecycle Transparency: This view provides complete visibility into your entitlements, from the moment of order fulfillment all the way through to the entitlement's expiration date. You can see crucial details such as quantity, support level, and start/end dates for each asset.
Proactive Management Filters: The interface includes filters to help you manage your assets more effectively. You can quickly identify entitlements that are "expiring within 60 days," those that have "expired but not replaced," and those with a "future start date," enabling proactive renewal and planning.
Post-Activation Allocation Details: Once an entitlement group is activated, you can click to view its allocation information directly within the CSP. This powerful feature shows exactly how many units have been allocated across different TSGs (Tenant Service Groups), which is especially useful in multi-tenant environments.
This centralized view not only provides critical status information but also empowers you to take swift action, especially when support is needed.
ASC Details : If the Entitlement group has a backline support entitlement, then ASC information is available via the ACTIONS column.
Leveraging Status Visibility for Faster Support
The new status system is strategically designed to optimize issue resolution. Having clear, early visibility into your entitlements—even before they are activated—fundamentally improves how you can interact with Palo Alto Networks support and accelerates troubleshooting.
This enhanced visibility delivers two critical improvements to the support process, enabling faster and more precise issue resolution.
Creating Cases for Unactivated Entitlements: You can now create a support case for an entitlement that is not yet activated. For instance, if you notice an entitlement appears to be stuck in the Pre-setup Underway status for an extended period(days), you no longer have to wait. By creating a case and referencing the specific Entitlement Group ID—which is now clearly visible in the Assets view—you provide our support teams with the exact information they need from the start. This significantly reduces diagnostic time and eliminates unnecessary back-and-forth communication, leading directly to a faster resolution.
Ultimately, these updates deliver on our key goals: accelerating your time-to-value, providing holistic entitlement oversight, and enhancing your organization's operational agility.
