Question

Why is Prisma Cloud unable to detect the 'publicNetworkAccess' value for Azure Managed Redis instances?

Environment

• Prisma Cloud
• Azure Cache for Redis
• Redis Enterprise Cluster
• Azure Managed Redis

Answer

Prisma Cloud is unable to detect the 'publicNetworkAccess' value for Azure Managed Redis instances. These instances are categorized alongside Redis Enterprise Clusters under the 'azure-cache-redis-enterprise' API. While Azure Managed Redis resources are configured with 'publicNetworkAccess: Enabled', Prisma Cloud does not expose this value via RQL for 'properties.publicNetworkAccess'. Azure Redis Enterprise Clusters show this value as 'null'.

This limitation stems from Prisma Cloud currently ingesting an older Azure API version (2024-02-01) that does not support the 'publicNetworkAccess' field.

An RFE would be required to update this ingestion API version.
