Symptom


  • Unable to download PAN-OS image and signature files after activating VM-Series firewall.
  • Error message: "The device is not found or not registered, please try after some time" is seen.

Environment


  • Palo Alto VM Firewalls
  • Supported PAN-OS versions.

Cause


Delay in synchronization with the update server.

Resolution


1. Retry "Check Now" after waiting 1-2 hours. 
2. If the issue persists after 24 hours, Open a Support case.
