Cortex Cloud: How to Create the Installer Package and Install the XDR Agent on Kubernetes

The objective is to demonstrate how to create the installer package and deploy the Cortex XDR agent in a Kubernetes environment on Cortex Cloud. 

• Cortex Cloud
• Cortex Cloud XDR Agent

1. Navigate to Inventory | Installations | Agent Installations and click Create to create the Installer package for Kubernetes.  Complete the * required fields and select Kubernetes for the Package Type.  
   
    
   
   
2. Right click the host and select Download YAML installer. 
   
    
   
   
3. Copy the YAML file to the Kubernetes cluster for deployment. 
   
    
   
   
4. Deploy the YAML file to the Kubernetes cluster and run the YAML file from the CLI (Ex: kubectl apply -f rrischer-k8s-test.yaml).
   
    
5. Verify the agent is running in your environment (Ex: kubectl get pods -A -o wide | grep cortex).
