Question

Why are compliance assessment reports not visible on Cortex Cloud 'Posture Management' > 'Compliance' > 'Reports' Page after assessment results have been generated?

Environment

  • Cortex Cloud
  • Cortex XDR/XSIAM with Cloud Posture Security Add-on.

Answer

It is essential to select the 'Generate a scheduled report' option and provide an email to deliver the generated report for an assessment profile to also generate a report on the 'Posture Management' > 'Compliance' > 'Reports' page.

If no email is provided, no report will be generated even after the evaluation frequency and standards are set.

To ensure that the reports are generated and visible to all users who've been provided access to them, please follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Posture Management > Compliance > Assessment Profiles.

2. Right-click on the assessment profile that you'd like to generate the report for and click on 'Edit.'
3. Make sure that you check the box for 'Generate a scheduled report'.
4. Enter an email address and set the 'Evaluation frequency'. Please note that you need to enter UTC time in this field.

5. Once you save this profile, please wait for about an hour to check back and see if the report was generated, either in the 'Reports' tab or in your provided email.
