Integration of github in cortex cloud is showing error "The selected path was not approved in the Cortex Gateway Egress configuration"

Symptom


After the Successful Authentication in Github to add the Repo into Cortex Cloud, below status Errors are observed. 

Under Repository Health Error: "The selected path was not approved in the Cortex Gateway Egress configuration"



Environment


Cortex cloud

Cause


The error message indicates that the specific path to GitHub repository has not been approved for outgoing traffic within the Cortex Gateway.
This is a security measure to control a tenant's outgoing communication flow.



Resolution


To Resolve this Issue,  Add and approve the necessary Egress Configuration in the Cortex Gateway.

Steps:

1. Navigate to Cortex Gateway: Access the Cortex Gateway portal.
2. Access Egress Configurations:
3. From the bottom-left corner, select the Tenant Navigator.
4. Go to Cortex Gateway > Permission Management > Egress Configurations.
5. Add the Configuration: From there, you can select your tenant and add the required Egress Configuration for your GitHub repository path.


Required Permissions:
To add or approve Egress Configurations, user should have the appropriate administrative rights.
Instance Administrator or Account Admin roles are required.

Under Egress Configuration Right click on the specific "github repo", an option to Approve / Deny will show.
