Symptom


Temporary link flaps (up and down) occur during PAN-OS bootup process.

Environment


  • Palo Alto PA-1400 Firewalls
  • Palo Alto PA-3400 Firewalls
  • Palo Alto PA-5400 Firewalls
  • Supported PAN-OS

Cause


Expected behavior as the software is initializing the ports.

Resolution


  1. Expected behavior as explained above.
  2. If this is not suited for the environment such as HA Active/Active, use the SFP ports for configuration.
