How to collect HAR in Prisma Browser

Objective


This article shows how to Generate a HAR File in Prisma Browser



Environment


  • Prisma Browser
  • Prisma Access(SASE)
  • Windows
  • MAC


Procedure


Prerequisites:

  • Ensure the target website does not contain any webpage watermarking or Read-Only webpage option enabled before enabling log collection.
  • Confirm that the user’s Browser Security Profile allows access to Developer Tools (i.e., Developer Tools are not blocked) before collecting logs.
  • Link to disable WaterMarking and Read-only Webpage option.
  • Link to allow Developer Tools access.

How to generate a HAR and console log file in Prisma Browser:

  1. Open Prisma Browser.
  2. Go to the webpage in question.
  3. Select the Prisma Browser menu    > More Tools > Developer Tools
  4. Select the Networks tab.
  5. Within the Networks tab, Click the checkbox for the Preserve log option.
  6. Within the Networks tab, Click the checkbox for the Disable Cache 
  7. Record the log by selecting the red circle at the top left of the Networks tab.
  8. Refresh the page and allow Prisma Browser to record browser-website interaction. 
  9. Once the page is loaded, select the Export HAR (downward-facing arrow). "Save as..." name the file as your preference.

  1. Click on the Console tab and look for any errors/warnings reported. If errors are shown, please right-click on any of the console errors and select "Save as..." name the file as your preference.

  1. Upload HAR and log files to the support ticket
