Symptom
Unable to delete unused Service Connection in Strata Cloud Manager with error:
Error - Can't Delete Objects in Use
A rule or another object is referencing <service_connection_name>. You can't delete objects that are in use. To delete an object, first remove it from the rules or other objects that are referencing it.
Detail error(s):
plugins -> cloud_services -> pbf-target -> group -> <pbf_rule_name> -> targetEnvironment
- Strata Cloud Manager (SCM)
- Prisma Access (Cloud Managed)
Cause
A Policy Based Forwarding (PBF) target group exists which references the Service Connection (SC)
Resolution
- In Strata Could Manager (SCM) navigate to: Workflows -> Prisma Access Setup -> Service Connections
- Click Advanced Settings
- Under Traffic Steering -> Traffic Forwarding Rules click Add Rule
- Under Action -> Target Service Connection Group click Manage
- Under Items find the lines that reference the Service Connection you are trying to delete and either:
- Select the line and click Delete
- Click Yes to confirm the deletion
- Click the Connection Name
- Under Service Connections select the line showing the Service Connection you are trying to delete and click the minus box [-]
- Click Save
- Select the line and click Delete
- Navigate back out to the Service Connections Setup and proceed to delete the Service Connection.
