Answer

Error message “Device Id / Expiration has already been set on this License Authcode xxx" may appear if

  • the auth code is not synced properly in the License Database

  • you are attempting to activate the renewal license (auth code) on the firewall

Locate the email with auth codes sent to you.

- If the Description field contains the word “Renewal", this is the renewal auth code. Support Contract and feature license renewals do not need to be activated, therefore, there is no need to activate the auth code on CSP.
On the effective date of renewal the firewall automatically obtains the renewal license key.

- When the renewal period kicks in, retrieve the new license key on the device.
