Symptom

  • HA Active-Passive Firewall pair [PANOS 10.1.5-h2] with one GTPc session with active on 10.0 and 10.1 with a memory corruption occurring in the session sync

Environment

  • PANOS 10.1.5-h2

Cause

PAN-194097 -

Fixed an issue on firewalls in high availability (HA) active/passive configurations where _ha_d_session_msgbuf overflowed on the passive firewall during an upgrade, which caused the firewall to enter a non-functional state.

Resolution

The target fix versions are in PANOS 10.2.310.1.710.1.6-h6
