Symptom
- Windows server crashes (restarts) each time the User-ID Credential Agent initiates
Environment
- Windows server updated with the post January 2022 windows patch
- User Id agent
Cause
We've got a known issue where Windows Server, updated with the post-January 2022 windows patches, gets into a reboot loop when User-ID Credential Agent runs.
Resolution
- The reboot issue has been tracked under WINAGENT-830 and got fixed but pending QA validation -
- However, after the WINAGENT-830 fix, we're seeing another major issue where User-ID Credential Agent does not extract credential information, being tracked under WINAGENT-851
Additional Information
- Plan is to release the next version ONLY WHEN WINAGENT-851 gets fixed and verified.
- To fix both issues, significant changes were made to the UserID Credential Agent.
- Currently, there is no ETA of when the next version will be released
