How to perform bulk software upgrade in Prisma SD-WAN portal?

Objective


To perform bulk software upgrade in Prisma SD-WAN portal.

Environment


  • Prisma SD-WAN
  • OS versions 5.4 and above
  • ION devices
  • Strata Cloud Manager
  • Software upgrade

Procedure


  1. First login into Prisma SD-WAN portal and go to Monitor > Devices
  2. Go into "advanced" portal and modify the URL as below: 
    https://portal.sugarloaf.cloudgenix.com/sdwan/manage/advanced
    (You need to replace keyword "advanced" instead of /devices/claimed in the above URL)
  3. If you are using the Strata Cloud Manager (SCM) portal, then use the following URL to access the advanced tab  https://stratacloudmanager.paloaltonetworks.com/manage/advanced/sdwan
  4. Once you entered into advanced portal, you can see the last option called "Bulk Software Upgrade."

  1. Click on Bulk Software Upgrade, after you will get another page as below: 
  • Step 1: Select a target software version

  • Step 2: Select up to 50 devices to upgrade (We recommend limiting upgrades to 50 at a time)
  • Step 3: Schedule devices for upgrade
