Symptom
Commit failing to cloud firewalls with validation error: application-group <name> is not a valid reference.
Details:
Validation Error:
application-group -> business-lowrisk-app-group -> members 'notion-base' is not a valid reference
application-group -> business-lowrisk-app-group -> members is invalid
Environment
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- Prisma Access Firewalls
- Supported PAN-OS
- Dynamic updates
Cause
Latest content update was not installed and so the application signatures were missing.
Resolution
Download and install the latest content version from CLI of the firewalls on which the commit is failing:
> request content upgrade download latest
> request content upgrade install version latest
> request content upgrade info ( To verify the install )
