Symptom


Defender won't be deployed on EKS Fargate.

Environment


  • Prisma Cloud Runtime

  • EKS Fargate

Cause


  • Daemonsets aren’t supported on Fargate.

  • Also Privileged containers aren’t supported on AWS Fargate as mentioned here in the documentation.  

Resolution


Defender has to be deployed as App-Embedded as per our Prisma Cloud Compute documentation here.
