Login to the clientless VPN portal is redirected to an application without showing the clientless VPN portal landing page

Symptom


  • When user logs into the clientless VPN portal, they are automatically redirected to an application without showing the portal landing page
  • This happens even though application group is configured and "Display application URL address bar" is enabled

Environment


  • Palo Alto Firewall
  • PAN-OS 10.2.x and 11.1.x
  • Clientless VPN Portal

Cause


  • Software Issue

Resolution


  1. The issue is fixed under PAN-269193
  2. Fix is available in PAN-OS versions 10.2.14, 11.1.8, and targeted for 11.2.8
  3. The workaround is to configure the individual applications under Clientless VPN application configuration instead of configuring the Application group
GUI: Network > GlobalProtect > Portals > [portal-name] > Clientless VPN > Applications > [clientless-config-name] > Applications
