Symptom
- Firewall in PAN-OS version 11.1.x restarts unexpectedly.
- System log (show log system) reports out of memory condition detected message
05:21:20 critical general general 0 Out of memory condition detected, kill process 7726
05:05:52 critical general general 0 Out of memory condition detected, kill process 7727- WinRM errors similar to below are recorded in useridd.log (less mp-log useridd.log)
Error: pan_user_id_winrm_query(pan_user_id_win.c:2791): winrm return NULL content, http code: 400, response: ...Environment
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- PAN-OS version below 11.1.5
- Using WinRM in server monitor
Cause
Software Defect PAN-260316.
Resolution
- The issue is resolved in the PAN-OS version 11.1.5 and above.
- Upgrading PAN-OS will fix the issue.
