Symptom


  • Firewall unexpectedly rebooted.
  • Prior to reboot, masterd_detail.log shows multiple heartbeat failures.
> less mp-log md_detail.log

Cause


Known issue addressed in PAN-194068

PAN-OS 10.1.8-h2 Addressed Issues
 

Resolution


Upgrade to PAN-OS 10.1.8-h2.

Also addressed in the following upcoming PAN-OS versions: 
PAN-OS 10.1.9, 10.2.4 and 11.0.1.
