Symptom


  • Content update fails to install
  • show jobs display the failure message
admin@pan-mgmt-sts-1> show jobs id 600

  • Messages of disk full seen in paninstaller_content.log (less mp-log paninstaller_content.log)
run rpm postinstall script in /opt/pancfg//opt/content/update/all-threat-content/
file: /opt/pancfg/mgmt/content-images/tmp/panupv2-all-contents-8278-6109
/bin/cp: error writing '/opt/pancfg/mgmt/updates/newcontent/cache/8000-0/tdb.cache.ser-2': No space left on device
/bin/cp: failed to extend '/opt/pancfg/mgmt/updates/newcontent/cache/8000-0/tdb.cache.ser-2': No space left on device

Cause


Pancfg partition not having enough space. This can be verified by using "show system disk-space"
