• Defender failed to perform host scan (vulnerability and compliance) with ERROR: EOF on WebUI

• On the defender, you would see the error message below:

• Prisma Cloud Compute
• Host Vulnerability/Compliance Scan
• RKE (Rancher Kubernetes Engine)

• In Prisma Cloud Compute, the defender doesn't support all versions of RKE.
  • Based on the latest admin guide ,Prisma Cloud Compute only supports RKE versions:
    • RKE2 v1.22.5+rke2r1 (containerd 1.5.8-k3s)
    • RKE2 v1.24.4+rke2r1 (containerd 1.6.6-k3s1)
• With unsupported RKE versions, the defender will not be able to detect underlying host information correctly.

• Upgrade the RKE cluster to a supported version according to Rancher and restart the defender.
