What is the character limit for Passcode to disconnect GP App?
Environment
- Any Firewall models
- PAN-OS 9.1 and higher
- GlobalProtect(GP) App settings
Answer
- When configuring GP client to use "Disable GlobalProtect with Passcode", the minimum password length is 6 characters and maximum is 64 characters.
- There is no complexity requirements for the passcode.
- If the requirements are not met an error message similar to below will be displayed.
{portal-name} -> client-config -> configs -> {portal-config-name} -> agent-ui -> passcode needs to be at least 6 characters {portal-name} -> client-config -> configs -> {portal-config-name} -> agent-ui -> passcode is invalid
Additional Information
In PAN-OS 10.2 or higher, the "Disable GlobalProtect App" is changed to "Disconnect GlobalProtect App (Always-on mode)"
