Symptom

  • CLI login page shows "RAID log disks check in progress, please wait..."
  • GUI unaccessible
  • Firewall stoped handling traffic until disks become available.

Environment

  • Palo Alto Firewall
  • PAN-OSĀ 10.1.x or higher
  • Upgrade.

Resolution

  1. After Upgrade the Firewall disk takes time to reconfigure and rebuild the disk based on the logging size.
  2. The Firewall GUI, CLI, and traffic will be visible once disk pairs are ready.
  3. The process may take few hours to be completed.
Note: The "RAID log disks check in progress, please wait" message refers to the FSCK check process being performed on the RAID log disks. It does not necessarily reflect that the RAID disks are being rebuilt.
