Question

Does Global Protect App Config Refresh Interval Change the Portal status to Connected if initially it is connected with the status Using Cached Portal Config?

Environment

  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Supported PAN-OS
  • Global Protect Portal and Gateway
  • Using Cached Portal Config

Answer

  1. Portal status is decided by the initial portal connection.
  2. If the portal config is changed, auto GlobalProtect App Config Refresh Interval (default timer 24 hours) may partially apply the new changes but it won't change the Portal status to Connected if initially it is connected with the status Using Cached Portal Config.
