Not able to revert configurations with error "Schema verification failed. Configuration will not be reverted."

Symptom


  • You are trying to revert the configuration but it is failing with the following error message:
"Schema verification failed. Configuration will not be reverted."

Environment


  • PAN-OS
  • Panorama

Cause


Unknown at time of publication.

Resolution


The fastest way to revert the configurations to an earlier configuration is to restore from a configuration file.
  1. Login to the firewall or Panorama.
  2. Click DEVICE (PANORAMA for Panorama device).
  3. Click Setup.
  4. Click Operations.
  5. Click Load named configuration snapshot.
  6. Choose the file name you want to revert to.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Commit the changes.
