Is it possible to activate a 90 day Trial for AIOps for NGFW license against NFR devices?

Environment


  • PA-Series Next-Generation Firewalls
  • Supported PAN-OS versions
  • AIOps for NGFW

Answer


NFR devices are not supported for trial licenses activation.
FIREWALL TYPES of NFR (Not For Re-sale) corresponds to Eval (Evaluation) in the following matrix.

Hence, even if you try to activate a 90 day Trial for AIOps for NGFW license against an NFR device, the Associated Apps column under the Device Associations page will show None as the following sample screenshot indicates.
This is an expected result.
