Objective


How to properly collect the Fiddler captures for Clientless VPN Application based issues

Environment


  • GlobalProtect Clientless VPN Portal
  • Captures using  external FiddlerCap


Procedure


Fiddler captures need to be collected in both working (direct access) and non-working (Clientless VPN access) scenarios.

Prior to each test, follow the guidelines below:
  1. Start video recording the test. ( both working and non-working tests, engineering want to see what is expected behavior of the app and what is the issue).Clear cookies from the Document.
  2. Close all the browsers/tabs. No other browsers/tabs should be open except the one used for the test.
  3. Start the FiddlerCap . Make sure all capture options are enabled. For Fiddler installation and the capture option, follow the Document
  4. Open the browser. Enable the Developer Tools and display the Console tab.
  5. Perform the test. Make sure that the only browser that is performing the test is opened.
  6. Save the Console logs from the console tab. ( Both working and non-working)
  7. Stop FiddlerCap and save the capture.
  8. Make sure you clear Cookies, Cache and, Capture under Tools every time when you start the new FiddlerCap.
