Objective
How to view Built-in External Dynamic List (EDL) in Panorama Security policy when not listed in drop down menu under even if Anti-virus and Apps and Threats are installed.
Environment
- PAN-OS 8.1 and above.
- Panorama
- Built-in PaloAlto Networks External Dynamic List
Procedure
In some versions of Panorama the PaloAlto Pre-defined EDL list "Panw-highrisk-ip-list" & "Panw-known-ip-list" are not displayed and typical search text are not finding the list. If this is the case please attempt the following:
(1) Ensure that the following had already been downloaded and installed in Panorama:
"Applications and Threats" - WebUI login >> Device >> Dynamic Updates >> Download & Install "Applications and Threats"
"Antivirus" - WebUI login >> Device >> Dynamic Updates >> Download & Install "Antivirus"
(2) In Panorama [Device Groups] Policies > Security Rules (pre or post) within the Security policy in Source or Destination IP tabs, if the Pre-defined EDL list are not displayed use the following search text in the drop down menu:
panw-known-ip-list
panw-highrisk-ip-list
- The Pre-defined PaloAlto Networking EDL list should then be displayed.
