Objective


GlobalProtect users on macOS may need to navigate the app's user-interface using only their keyboard for accessibility purposes, including the ability to click the 'connect' button with their keyboard. This ability can be enabled by modifying an option in macOS System Preferences.

Environment


  • GlobalProtect app version 5.0+
  • macOS version 10.13+ (High Sierra onwards)


Procedure


For macOS Big Sur 11.0 and macOS Catalina 10.15:
  1. On your Mac, click the Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Keyboard, then click Shortcuts.
  2. Select “Use keyboard navigation to move focus between controls.”

For macOS Mojave 10.14 and macOS High Sierra 10.13:
  1. On your Mac, click the Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Keyboard, then click Shortcuts.
  2. Select “All controls.”
