Commit fails with error message "management server failed to send phase 1 to client cord"

Symptom

After upgrade or downgrade, commit fails with the following error

Management server failed to send phase 1 to client cord
Commit failed.

cdb process shown as stopped.

admin@Lab32-13-PA-3020> show system software status 
......
Process  cdb                  stopped  (pid: -1) - Exit Code: 100 
......

Environment

Panorama

Upgrade/Downgrade

Cause

Mongodb instance is in a bad state.

Resolution

Try to do a commit force.

Panorama> configure
Panorama# commit force
Panorama> exit

Then check software status using "show system software status".
If the cdb status is still shows as stopped, Check and see if the disk space is full. Refer article "After reboot, Firewall is in not ready state"
If the disk space is not full open a Support case as the issue needs root access.
