Objective


To increase CPUs and Memory for panorama-HA hosted in ESXi Platform



Environment


  • Panorama in HA
  • Firewall in HA
  • Supported PAN-OS
  • ESXi platform


Procedure


  1. Power down the Passive Panorama from GUI.
  2. Power down the Active Panorama from GUI.
  3. Upgrade memory from ESXi console on both active and passive panorama.
  4. Power up the Active Panorama from EXSI.
  5. Check the memory upgrade size was reported correctly.
  6. Power up the Passive Panorama from EXSI.
  7. Memory upgrade size was reported correctly.
  8. Check the HA state, make sure it in synchronized state.

Note:  To Verify the platform memory use, the CLI command "show system state | match cfg.platform.memory"
