1. Collect the configuration backup and tech support file from the firewall. 2. Create a administrator user name and password. 3. Commit the changes. 4. If the firewall is in HA suspend the active firewall 5.Goto->license->deactivate license. (The serial number will show unknown)(download the deactivation key**not mandatory) 6.it will prompt for reboot, do the reboot. 7.once the firewall is back, try login with the administrator user created in step 2 8.Then copy the auth code from CSP(customer support portal) and retrieve the license. 9. The firewall will automatically refresh.(the firewall will register with old serial number) 10.Check whether all the license is installed. 11.Goto-dynamic updates-->install app and threat version. 12.Check whether you are able to do the commit successfully.
