Unable to revert the changes in Panorama due to error: "master-device is missing" and "invalid"

Symptom


  • When trying to revert the changes on Panorama, unable to revert due to an error: 
    Schema verification failed. Configuration will not be reverted.

template-stack -> template_2-stack -> user-group-source -> master-device is missing 'device'
template-stack -> template_2-stack -> user-group-source -> master-device is invalid

Resolution


  1. Follow the error and go to that Particular Template Stack.
  2. Go to the template stack and click on Default VSYS
  3. Choose the default VSYS "vsys 1" in this scenario and click ok.
Error
  1. Now before performing a local commit on the Panorama, Preview the changes as Default vsys1 will be getting added.

  1. Perform a local commit on the Panorama and after that the changes can be reverted successfully without this error.
