Symptom


The restrictDismissalAccess parameter doesn't for the Update User Role API Endpoint

Environment


  • Prisma Cloud
  • API
  • Postman

Cause


the restrictDismissalAccess parameter only works for the Update User Role API Endpoint when the roles that use the following default permission groups:
  • system admin
  •  account group admin
  •  account and cloud provisioning admin
As you can see restrictDismissalAccess is set to true in the screenshot below:

But this change is not depicted in the role itself when you pull in the information for it:

Resolution



As of now, this property is not available for all permission groups. but is only applicable to the permission groups mentioned below:
  • system admin
  •  account group admin
  •  account and cloud provisioning admin
