Objective

  • During troubleshooting, you need to verify the defender version.

Environment

  • Prisma Cloud Compute Edition
  • Microsoft Azure

Procedure

How to check Defender version:

  1. If it’s DaemonSet deployment, you can check the image version with this command:
kubectl get ds -n twistlock -o jsonpath="{..image}" | tr -s '[[:space:]]' '\n' | sort | uniq -c
      1 registry-auth.twistlock.com/tw_wgdhemeo0dlxlflyhtmeob8uo4t1ffky/twistlock/defender:defender_22_12_427

  1. CLI, by list the containers/pod. You can also go to var/lib/twistlock/scripts, read the twistlock.cfg
  2. You can inspect defender.log file (search for "Starting defender version")
