Bootstrapped vm series firewall requires a log-receiver restart to connect to panorama CG

Symptom


  • After bootstrapping VM series firewall for the first time, firewall will be unable to establish log collector connection
  • Run CLI command to check connection status  >show logging-status

Environment


  • All vm series

Cause


  • It is an expected behavior after testing current preferred releases of vm series firewall

Resolution


  • Run the log-receiver restart CLI command to refresh process

  • admin@bootstrap-fix4> debug software restart process log-receiver

  • Run CLI command to verify connection active >show logging-status
