Objective
- The objective of this article is to guide one on how to use Tags to filter Vulnerabilities and Policies and better manage them in your environment.
Environment
- Prisma Cloud Compute Edition
- Prisma Cloud
Procedure
Use the below steps to create a new tag:
1- Navigate to Manage > Collections and Tags > Tags.
2- Click in the Tag tab
3- In the second section of the page (Tag Assignment), click on Assign Tag.
4- In the dialog that opens up select a Tag status, select the CVE for the vulnerability chosen, select the package scope and the resource type:
5- In the example below, once the previous steps were taken, you can also enable "Tag descendant images" which will "Automatically tag all container images where the base image is one of the images specified in the "Images" field. For this to work, base images must be defined under Defend.":
This grants you the capability of filtering out vulnerabilities that you don't want to display in your next scans/reports for specific images/packages
