How to collect Global Protect logs in Dump mode for Linux

Objective


Using these commands the user will be able to generate Global Protect logs in Dump mode when using the command line in Linux devices.

Environment


  • GlobalProtect (GP) App
  • Versions 5.1.x or above
  • Any Linux version 


Procedure


  1. To set the Client logs in Dump mode use the below commands on the Linux Command line: 
$ globalprotect set-log -l dump
Set is successful.
  1. To collect the Client logs use the following command:
$ globalprotect collect-log
Start collecting...
Collecting network info...
Collecting machine info...
Copying files...
Generating final result file...
The support file is saved to /home/gloria/.GlobalProtect/GlobalProtectLogs.tgz
Collection Complete
